The beaches on Santorini are some of the most unique in the whole Mediterranean. The eruption of the island’s volcano, thousands of years ago, resulted in the creation of the most dazzling landscapes and an embroidered coastline dotted with black, white, and red sanded beaches.
The most famous volcanic beaches, that you should not miss during your holidays in Santorini, are the Red and White Beaches in Akrotiri area, Vlychada beach, and the black beaches of Kamari, Monolithos, Perissa, and Perivolos, located on the southern part of the island. On the northern coast, you will also find gorgeous beaches, like Ammoudi, Baxedes, Koloumbos, and Vourvoulos.
